John Luna is an artist who works primarily in painting and installation, as well as a writer, lecturer and instructor. He has exhibited installations of paintings in connection to poetry, video, collage, stencils, sculpture and historical artifacts, throughout Canada and the United States. He has published catalogue essays and criticism in Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Jakarta, and is chair of the board of the Slide Room Gallery. He has taught at the University of Victoria, the University of Lethbridge, the University of Calgary, the Vancouver Island School of Art, the Metchosin International Summer School of the Arts, The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, The Victoria College of Art and Design, and Camosun College. He is currently a member of the faculty at Brentwood College School.
